Werder Bremen are prepared for mid-week action just three days after their 2-2 draw against Stuttgart. Werder travel to SC Freiburg looking to finally end a seven-match road winless streak and bring three points back home. The showdown on Wednesday 26 September 2012 at 8 p.m. is the 27th match-up between the teams in the German top flight. Freiburg have only won five times against SV Werder - with their last victory dating back 11 years.

WERDER.DE put together everything you need to know about the showdown in the Breisgau region.

Did you know that ...

... that Freiburg are winless against Bremen in their last 11 Bundesliga matches? Freiburg have collected just two draws and nine losses. The last victory dates back to a 3-0 win in Bremen on 28 July 2001. Thomas Schaaf was already the Bremen head coach back then.

... that Freiburg have lost more often against Werder than any other team? Freiburg have suffered 18 defeats - just like against Bayern Munich - and have conceded 69 goals.

... that Werder have not won away from home in seven matches? During that stretch, there has been only one draw and six defeats. The last time Bremen waited this long for a victory was between October 2008 and May 2009 - a streak of 12 matches. No team in the league has gone longer without a victory on the road.

... that Breman have scored in their last 10 Bundesliga matches? Champions Borussia Dortmund's run of 13 games is the only longer stretch. Zlatko Junuzovic scored his first goal in the German top flight against Stuttgart while Nils Petersen assisted on two goals for the first time.
