Werder defender Sebastian Prödl will have to sit out a couple of days before he can return to team training. He had to miss out on the match against Hannover as the Austrian dealt with muscular problems which he brought back from his time with the national team. "He felt the discomfort already on Friday in training but we had hoped that he could be okay for the game. Unfortunately it didn't get better," said Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf after a relaxed bicycle tour with the team. "We hope that he can return to training by the middle of the week at the latest."
The coach doesn't have any other injuries to worry about. "There are no injuries at all from the Hannover game," said a relieved Schaaf. Even Zlatko Junuzovic, who wasn't subbed into the small North Derby until the 60th minute due to a cold, could go on the bike tour with his teammates.
After the tour on two wheels, Schaaf gave his players off on Monday.
