Werder coach Thomas Schaaf had all of his players available Thursday afternoon.
The training grounds at Weser Stadium are very busy after the return of the internationals. And Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf will have all of his players available for the game against Hannover. "Everyone came back healthy and ready to go," said a happy Schaaf.

Now it's time to forget the national team matches, free up the mind and fully concentrate on the small North Derby. That was the mind frame at Thursday's training. After all, Bremen will be taking on a tough opponent at AWD Arena. Hannover have started the season in great fashion without a defeat in their first seven competitive matches. And the team from Lower Saxony are third on the table with four points. "This will certainly be a difficult match," said Schaaf, referring to the Reds' dominance at home. Mirko Slomka's team has not lost in front of their home fans in the Bundesliga in more than a year and 19 matches altogether.

The Werder coach gave special praise to his three Austrians Sebastian Prödl, Zlatko Junuzovic and Marko Arnautovic. Despite a close defeat to Germany, Schaaf hopes that the trio will take confidence from Austria's 2-1 loss. "That was a strong performance by all of them. The three of them can take a lot of positives out of the game," said the coach. "It is certainly easier to focus on the coming tasks when you have a good performance before that."
