Eljero Elia trained once again with his teammates on Wednesday here in a challenge with Cimo Röcker.

There was good news at Werder training as Eljero Elia returned to team training Wednesday morning. "I completed the entire program but at the end I did have some slight pain. Today I had treatment again and I will be back for final training tomorrow," said the 25-year-old.

He is probable to play in the Bundesliga opener on Friday in Dortmund. "We have to wait and see how he handles the session but it looks good for Friday," said Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf.

Also back among his teammates for the first time on Wednesday was Predrag Stevanovic. The 21-year-old had to leave the pre-season training camp on Norderney early due to a knee ligament injury. "I am happy to be back all the way again. I hope that I can now stay free of injuries," said Stevanovic, who gradually worked his way back to team training over the last weeks.
