Best notes for Werder performance centre

The certification of the German Football League (DFL) on the quality of the performance centres of the 36 Bundesliga teams is complete. SV Werder Bremen received a very strong grade, picking up three stars - the highest possible score - just like at the first certification in 2007.

"Our performance centre has enjoyed an excellent reputation nationally and internationally for decades. The certification through the DFL has once again strengthened us in our work and shows that we are well equipped for the future," said Werder manager Klaus-Dieter Fischer. Dr. Uwe Harttgen, director of the performance centre, was happy about once again receiving three stars. "We invested a lot of work in our talent development in the last few years. We intensified among other things the collaboration with the professional department, optimised the game and training conditions and are well off personnel-wise. The certification procedure once again confirmed our way and strengthened us in our philosophy," said Harttgen.

Since 2007, the performance centres of the 36 professional clubs in the first and second Bundesligas have gone through a certification procedure every three years. As part of the procedure, the quality of the performance centres is evaluated in criteria such as organisation, strategy, scouting, infrastructure, effectiveness and medical, schooling and psychological care.
