Sebastian Prödl has returned to Bremen after his serious injury from the Lautern game.
There is a positive sign about Sebastian Prödl! Werder's Austrian returned to Bremen early Sunday evening and was able to spend the up-coming night in his usual surroundings. Prödl had to be brought to the Westpfalz Clinic hospital Saturday evening after being kicked in the face by Dorge Kouemaha in the game against Kaiserslautern. Prödl spent the night in the hospital with a diagnosis of a number of facial fractures (nose and upper jaw) as well as a concussion.

On Monday Werder's defender will undergo further tests with a specialist in Bremen. Before returning to Bremen, Prödl posted a message on his homepage from his hospital bed in Kaiserslautern. "The doctors have determined that I broke my nose and jaw. The cheek bone is also impacted and there was also a concussion. Honestly, I am doing horrible. But I would like to thank everyone who is thinking about me and giving me support in this difficult time. The way back will not be easy but I know already now that the support of my family, girlfriend, friends, club and all the fans will bring me back to my old strength."
